Airfix Quickbuild Messerschmitt Bf109E-4 / E-1 1:48 Military Aircraft Plastic Model Kit

Following the Dunkirk evacuation, the battle-hardened Bf109 fighter pilots of the Luftwaffe began operations against Britain, but they would face a disadvantage for the first time. With only enough fuel for a limited time over England, any mechanical issue or damage during combat would result in their capture at best, or certainly an end to their war.

The first scheme is the Messerschmitt Bf109E-4, an aircraft flown by Oberleutnant Franz von Werra, the Gruppen-adjutant of 1/JG 3, in Samer, France, in August 1940. The second scheme is the Messerschmitt Bf109E-3, an aircraft flown by Oblt. Josef 'Pips' Priller, the Staffelkapitän of 6./JG 51, in France during the autumn and winter of 1940-1941. The third scheme is the Messerschmitt Bf109E-3, an aircraft flown by Kap. Milutin Grozdanovic of the Vazduhoplovstvo Vojske Kraljevine Jugoslavije (Royal Yugoslav Air Force) in Zemun, Belgrade, Yugoslavia, in July 1940.

The skill level required for this model is 3, and the dimensions are 183 mm in length and 205 mm in width, with 107 pieces. Painting is required, and the necessary Humbrol paints are listed on the outside of the box, which need to be purchased separately.
