Airfix Folland Gnat T.1 1:48 Scale Military Aviation Plastic Model Kit

During the mid-1960s, students who had completed their basic flying training in the BAC Jet Provost and were streamed for fast jet training would likely find themselves in the front seat of a Folland Gnat, a very different flying experience. The Gnat was a 'hot ship' - fast, responsive, and highly maneuverable, with excellent visibility from the pilot's position. However, the relatively cramped cockpit of this jet trainer did not offer the same level of comfort for the instructor in the rear seat.

For modelers, the 1:48 scale allows for the addition of intricate details that are absent in smaller scales. Three distinct schemes are featured:

Assembly and painting are required, and paints and glue need to be purchased separately. The Humbrol paints needed to complete the plane's liveries are listed on the outside of the box.
